Collect TBT data with Pinged beam

Horizontal and Vertical data collection are done separately.  They can be done in either order, but complete one before changing to the other.  These instructions will be written as if the vertical ping will be done first.

1)  Go to page T63, subpage 2.  Set the delay to 0.79 sec for Vertical (1.19 for Horizontal) for event $DA.  Event $4C should be the reference event.

2)  From page C100, Click on "Kicker Strength" menu item and set E17 kick to 4 if kicking at flattop energy.  (If kicking at injection, E17 strength needs to be 5).  The F17 Horz kick should be set to 6.5 for either energy.

3)  elect menu item "Kicker Set" and select "E17 Vert. Kick Only" (or "F17 Horz. Kick Only").  Next, click on Start Measurement.  It will take some time to complete.  At the end, some chromaticity, tune, coupling numbers will appear in the Messages window in yellow.  After you see this message, click on Cancel Measurement.

4)  Go to page W134 and select House = all and Select Buffer = Triggered.  The other choices should default to the correct values.  Click on GET_DATA.  It will take a few minutes for the data to be collected.  There may be some houses that come back in error and then re-try successfully.  When the data collection is done, click on Write_Scaled_Binary.  This choice does not appear on the screen until the data is read.

5)  Go back to item 1) on this list and repeat for the opposite plane if desired.
